Title
Authorizing the Library to enter into an agreement with Nickles Electric to provide construction for the lighting replacement project located at Meadowridge Branch Library, 5740 Raymond Road. (20th AD)
Body
WHEREAS the existing interior ceiling light fixtures are surface mounted industrial fluorescent fixtures, they are inefficient and do not provide the needed light levels, and,
WHEREAS plans and specifications prepared by Strang Architects Inc. dated July 15, 2005 indicates the need to remove and abandon the existing industrial surface mounted light fixtures and replace them with energy efficient recessed fluorescent light fixtures, and,
WHEREAS the 2005 Capital Budget includes funding for building improvements, an electrical building contractor must be hired to construct this project, and,
WHEREAS Nickles Electric is the low bid contractor that meets the needs of the project.
WHEREAS the total contract compensation for construction to Nickles Electric is $16,389.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Library to enter into an agreement with Nickles Electric to provide construction for the lighting replacement project located at Meadowridge Branch Library, 5740 Raymond Road.
