Fiscal Note
There is a current balance of $5,696 in the Community Gardens Segregated Revenue Account #SO11. This Resolution will authorize the transfer of $4,696 to the Madison Community Foundation, which will leave a balance of $1,000 in the Community Gardens Account.
Title
To move the "anonymous donation" balance to the Madison Community Foundation for the purpose of funding new community garden projects.
Body
WHEREAS, the Committee on Community Gardens received an anonymous donation for $10,000 in November, 1999, to be used to create gardens; and
WHEREAS, a total of $4,304 has been paid out as follows:
November 29, 2001 - Soils and Engineering - $2,404
December 30, 2001 - UW Madison - December '01 Work Study - $360
June 30, 2002 - UW Madison - April '02 Work Study - $240
March 4, 2002 - Soils and Engineering - $1,300; and
WHEREAS, the Committee on Community Gardens has created a separate garden fund and has housed it at the Madison Community Foundation; and
WHEREAS, a committee of gardeners review grants and allocates funds for new garden projects; and
WHEREAS, the Committee on Community Gardens has voted to move all but $1,000 of the funds balance to the account at the Madison Community Foundation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that $4,696 in Segregated Fund #SO11 be moved to the account at the Madison Community Foundation.
