Pursuant to the directive of the Common Council to appoint at least two additional members to the Overture Ad Hoc Committee, I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following appointments for introduction and adoption under suspension of the rules.
 
 
OVERTURE AD HOC COMMITTEE
 
PABLO SANCHEZ, 125 South Owen Dr., 53705 (11th A.D.) - Mr. Sanchez is currently Vice-President of Park Bank and Branch Manager of the Bank's Capitol Square location where he assists businesses and individuals meet their financial goals.  He works closely with community organizations and non-profits in both a professional and volunteer capacity.  He was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to the UW Hospitals and Clinics Authority.  He is also a current board member of Downtown Madison, Inc., Habitat for Humanity, and Access Community Health Centers.  He is active in the Madison and Shorewood HIlls School Districts as well.
 
BECKY STEINHOFF, 2134 Linden Ave., 53704 (6th A.D.) - Ms. Steinhoff  has worked for the nonprofit community for more than 25 years, the last 20 at the Goodman Community Center.  In her capacity as Executive Director, she led the organization through tremendous growth from a $200,000 operating budget and 2.5 staff to a $2.5 million budget with 44 staff.  Ms. Steinhoff has also completed four capital campaigns to support this expansion, most recently a $12.4 million campaign to build the new Goodman Community Center.  In 2009, Ms. Steinhoff received the Fundraising Executive of the Year Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  She also was on the Barrymore Board during its transition from a privately owned theater that was failing to a viable nonprofit.
