AFFIRMATIVE ACTION COMMISSION

VICTORIA S. SELKOWE, 2961 Union St., 53704 (15th A.D.) - reappoint to a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First Appointed 7-20-2004.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-20-2010.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION BOARD
*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

Pursuant to Sec. 3.30(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, “ … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … .”

*LYNN E. EDLEFSON, 3305 Valley Creek Cir., Middleton 53562 - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Specialist in Child Care Field. Ms. Edlefson is employed by the UW Madison Office of Child Care and Family Resources as a social worker/director of the deparment and has worked there for 11 years. She has 20+ years of clinical experience with children and families and was the CEO of a private child abuse and neglect agency in Kansas City, Missouri. She succeeds Andrea Dearlove who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2011.
