NORTHPORT-WARNER PARK-SHERMAN NEIGHBORHOOD STEERING COMMITTEE

CYNTHIA M. WOOD, 3802 Toban Dr., 53704-1932 (18th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Troy Gardens, Nobel Park and Vera Court Neighborhood Area Representative. Ms. Wood is development director for Interfaith Hospitality Network. She is a lifelong Madison resident and is active in the Northside Planning Council.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND ENERGY COMMITTEE

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, “ … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgment of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … .”

*JULIA VOSS, 1052 Derby Drive, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 - Ms. Voss was first appointed to the position of Business Owner on July 5, 2005. She is vice president of commercial lending for Johnson Bank.

Rationale: Ms. Voss moved out of the city temporarily. She works in the financial industry based in Madison and deals with many residents and businesses that are getting mortgages for home and business loans. Having someone from the financial community who is very motivated and informed in the area of green buildings is a clear asset for the committee.

JAMES D. ARMSTRONG, 2105 Jefferson St., 53711 (13th A.D.) - move/appoint to the position of At-large Member position succeeding Charles Dorgan who resigned. Mr. Armstrong was first appointed 6-19-2007.
