I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments. "Statement of Interests" forms are on file for those appointees required to file.


CDA HOUSING OPERATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
For information only. Appointment made by CDA Chair.

AARON R. BLACKS, 1414 Williamson St., 53703 (6th A.D.) - appointed to the remainder of a one-year term to the position of CDA Resident Member. Mr. Blacks is a transit operator for Madison Metro Transit. He is a CDA resident, and he is a Truax Neighborhood Association board member, their neighborhood representative and a Starkweather Creek board member. Mr. Blacks succeeds Marian Hadden.
TERM EXPIRES: 6-1-2008.


HEALTH, BOARD OF, FOR MADISON AND DANE COUNTY

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, " … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … ."

Joint appointment by the Mayor and County Executive:

*LORI M. KAY, 5685 Lincoln Rd., Oregon 53575 - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of County Resident Living Outside the City. Ms. Kay is Director of Community Partnerships in the Office of the UW-Madison Chancellor. Ms. Kay succeeds Mark Miller who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-15-2008.
