Fiscal Note
This agreement provides for the reimbursement by UW-Madison for an estimated 946,096 annual fixed route rides during the contract period with provision for reimbursement of additional fixed route rides (if taken) as well as paratransit rides at rates consistent with TPC pass contract guidelines. The total amount billable by Metro for all fixed route and paratransit fares under the terms of the agreement shall not exceed $891,655. There would be no net fiscal impact on the City General Fund or the transit utility operation budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the provision of free access by UW-Madison and UW Hospital employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for estimated employee trips for the period September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006.
Body
WHEREAS, UW-Madison and Metro Transit have had a very successful and productive contracting arrangement for an unlimited ride pass program for UW and UW Hospital employees for two years and both parties wish to extend their agreement for a one-year period;
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated a contract extension which meets all TPC criteria set in advance for unlimited ride pass agreements;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with the UW-Madison for the purpose of providing a UW and UW Hospital unlimited ride pass program for the period of September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006, with a total contract amount not to exceed $891,655.
