WHEREAS the City of Madison Engineering Division in the proposed Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is proposing a new pedestrian & bicycle underpass along the north side of Troy Drive under the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad crossing.
WHEREAS the Troy Drive Underpass can serve as an important pedestrian & bicycle link for Lerdahl Park Neighborhood and Mendota Hills Neighborhood.
WHEREAS the City of Madison Engineering Division plans to apply for Federal Funds from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) to assist with construction funding for the project.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Engineering Division is hereby authorized to advertise a request for proposals for the project.
