Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to the competitively selected service contract with REDI Transports, LLC for ongoing emergency detention transport services for the Police Department. The amendment increases the 2024 annual cost of the contract not to exceed $150,000. The current contract is not to exceed $100,000 which is included in the Police Department’s 2024 operating budget. As of the mid-year budget to actual projections, the Department is projected to be at budget at year-end after receiving a budgeted transfer from Direct Appropriations for retiree payouts. The Department anticipates absorbing any additional cost from this amendment in 2024 with existing resources.
The contract includes an optional renewal clause to extend the contract through an additional four years which will also be amended to not exceed $150,000 subject to available funding at that time.
No appropriation is required.
