Amending the 2010 Capital Budget of Planning and Community and Economic Development and Transferring Available Funds from the Sidewalk Program to the Senior Center Project.
Body
WHEREAS the courtyard sidewalks within the Madison Senior Center are in need of repair; and
WHEREAS the current conditions present an unsafe situation for the vulnerable population that heavily uses this area, and
WHEREAS it is estimated that the repairs will cost approximately $26,000; and
WHEREAS the Senior Center Building Improvements capital project (PCED Project 5) does not currently have available funds nor budget authority to finance these repairs; and
WHEREAS the Sidewalk Program capital project (Engineering Other Project 2) currently has available funds which could be transferred to the Senior Center project to be used for these repairs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2010 Capital Budget of Planning and Community and Economic Development is hereby amended to provide budget authority for these repairs; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the necessary funds be transferred from the Sidewalk Program to the Senior Center capital project.
Fiscal Note
This resolution increases the budget authority in the Senior Center Building Improvements capital project by $26,000, funded by a transfer of available funds from the Sidewalk Program. The budget amendment necessary is as follows:

Upon completion of the repairs, the necessary entry to transfer the funds is as follows:

No additional G.O. borrowing is required. There is no anticipated impact upon the tax levy or cost controls.
