Title

Board of Health for Madison and Dane County Resolution #2023-29 Authorization to Accept Funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services for the Local and Tribal Health Department Infection Prevention Training Program

Body

Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes the acceptance of up to $15,000 from Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) for the Local and Tribal Health Department Infection Prevention Training Program

Bryan Anderson-Barbian, Infection Preventionist with PHMDC’s Communicable Disease Program, was selected to participate in DHS’ Local and Tribal Health Department Infection Prevention Training Program. The purpose of this program is to provide local and tribal health department staff with infection prevention and control education and experiences that strengthen local capacity to respond to healthcare-associated infections, multidrug-resistant organisms, and infection prevention questions and concerns from health care facilities in their communities. The funding will be used to support Bryan’s time spent on the training program.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and increase the 2023 Public Health Budget by $15,000.
