PREAMBLE
 
The City of Madison has negotiated a contract with  University Hospitals and Clinics for emergency medical services training.  The new contract is for a term of two years commencing on January 1, 2007.  
 
The Emergency medical services contract has a rate of $4,610 for each employee receiving initial paramedic training.  The  number of employees referred for initial paramedic training is usually budgeted at six participants per year.  The contract also contains National Registry remedial education if needed by employees.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council approves a contract for emergency medical services training with the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority.
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute contract documents.
