Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company has requested a fifteen (15)-foot wide Underground Easement underneath a portion of the City-owned West Towne Drainage and Detention area, located at 6715 Mineral Point Road; and
 
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric has determined that it is necessary to expand their underground facilities to improve service to the area; and
 
WHEREAS, City of Madison Engineering Division has reviewed and approves of the Easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Permanent Easement for Public Utility Purposes to Madison Gas and Electric Company described as follows:
 
A strip of land, fifteen (15) feet in width, located in part of the NW ¼ of the NW¼ of Section 25, T7N-R8E, City of Madison, Dane county, Wisconsin, the centerline said strip being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 6, Gammon Place Addition to Park Towne Plat, thence, S89º00'06"W along the south line of said Lot 6, 7 feet to the point of beginning; thence S31º23'17"W, 45 feet; thence S44º38'30"W, 213 feet thence S57º59'56"W, 20 feet, more or less, to the  north line of Lot 2, Park Towne Plat, and point of termination.
