Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes awarding the contract for the Unit Well 12 Upgrade at a total estimated cost of $9,022,762, including contingency. At this time, $7.6 million of funding is available in Munis #10452. The award of this contract is contingent upon Common Council adoption of related file, Legistar #92748 which seeks to increase the existing budget authority in Munis #10452 by $1,635,000. Funding for the increase is anticipated to be available through an additional loan budget through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program. If funding is not available through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program, the Water Utility anticipates using reserves to fund the additional $1,635,000. Without approval of Legistar #92748, the Water Utility will not award the contract for the Unit Well 12 Upgrade.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidder contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
