Renaming Fire Engine No. 1 that is housed at Fire Station No. 1, 316 West Dayton Street, City of Madison bear the name of "K-Tal Johnson" in honor of his dedicated service to the residents of the City of Madison and the City of Madison Fire Department.
Body
Whereas, the Madison Fire Department is recognized as a vital part of city service, restoring order in time of crisis, and;
 
Whereas, Lieutenant K-Tal Johnson was hired as a firefighter, the 28th day of October 1991, serving the City of Madison residents with diligence, and;
 
Whereas, Lieutenant K-Tal Johnson was appointed to Paramedic on the 11th of November 1992, and;
 
Whereas, Lieutenant K-Tal Johnson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on the 1st day of June, 2003, and;
 
Whereas, Lieutenant K-Tal Johnson was assigned to City of Madison Fire Station No. 1, leading the members of the fire station and also members of the Technical Rescue and Lake Rescue Teams, and;
 
Whereas, Lieutenant K-Tal Johnson was tragically killed on the 29th day of December 2006 as a result of an automobile accident in Warsaw, Indiana,
 
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that Fire Engine No. 1 that is housed at Fire Station No. 1, 316 West Dayton Street, City of Madison bear his name in honor of his dedicated service to the residents of the City of Madison and the City of Madison Fire Department.
