Approving a contract with E. B. Jacobs, LLC for consultant services for firefighter applicant processes.
Body
The City awarded the contract for the firefighter applicant process (RFP-7817-0-2006-RW) to E. B. Jacobs, LLC for the 2006-20007 process. It is recommended that the City continue to contract with E. B. Jacobs, LLC for the 2008-20009 process.The 2009 budget includes funding for up to $80,000 for consultant services for the entire applicant process.
The City Attorney and Fire Chief are finalizing the terms of the contract with E. B. Jacobs, LLC. The contract will also include contract options for two additional firefighter applicant processes beyond the 2008-2009 process.

WHEREAS, funding is approved in the 2009 Fire Operating Budget to conduct a firefighter applicant process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City approve contracting with E. B. Jacobs, LLC for the 2008-2009 firefighter applicant process, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract include options for two additional firefighter processes after the 2008-2009 process, and
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the contract upon completion of the contract by the City Attorney and Fire Chief.
