Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for Bride Repairs - 2025. The total estimated cost of the project is $260,000. Funding is available in the 2025 Engineering - Major Streets Adopted Capital Budget (Munis #15234). No additional appropriation is required.

Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for Bridge Repairs - 2025. (District 3, District 12, District 13)

Body

Structural repairs are proposed on the pedestrian bridge over Park Street between Chandler Street and Braxton Place, the pedestrian bridge over USH 51 at Portland Parkway and the Commercial Avenue bridge over the west branch of the Starkweather Creek between Oak Street and McCormick Avenue. The repairs will consist of concrete repairs, railing repairs and expansion plate repairs.

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for Bridge Repairs - 2025, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

 

4)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute agreements with the adjacent municipalities as needed for cost sharing of the project.
