Expressing sadness at the passing of Tony Zander and expressing sympathy to his family.

Body

WHEREAS, Tony Zander was born in the City of Madison in 1946; and

WHEREAS, Zander proudly served his country in Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart; and  

WHEREAS, Zander was employed by the City of Madison's Parks Department State Street Mall Crew; and

WHEREAS, Zander was known for his love for the outdoors, including hunting, camping and hiking; and  

WHEREAS, Zander tragically died in an accident on July 1, 2005;  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Madison Common Council express their sadness at the passing of Tony Zander and extend their sympathy to his wife Jackie and his children Roxane, Sean, Julie, Jarrett and Janelle.
