PREAMBLE
Cross Country Road from 1200 feet west of Stonebridge Drive to 700 feet east of Stonebbridge Drive is in very poor condition and has been scheduled for reconstruction. Dane County is the adjacent property owner along the south side of the Right-of-Way and will be installing curb & gutter and pavement adjacent to their parcels. In a cooperative effort, Dane County will also reconstruction the City's portion of the roadway. Dane County Highway Department specializes in the repair and construction of town roads and is willing to construct the improvements to Cross Country Road.
The Board of Public Works and the City Engineer having made reports of all proceedings in relation to the improvement
of Cross Country Road Assessment District - 2005 pursuant to a resolution of the Common Council, ID No. 00983, adopted 5/3/05, which resolution was adopted in accordance with Sec. 66.0701 (formerly Sec. 66.62) of the Wisconsin Statutes and Sec. 4.09 of the Madison General Ordinances and having in all things duly conformed to the order of the Common Council in relation thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and that the Dane County Highway Department specializes in the repair and construction of town roads and is willing to construct the improvements to Cross Country Road, and the Common Council being fully advised.
