Body

On March 16, 2004, the City of Madison entered into an agreement with Strand Associates, Inc. for surveying and design services (Contract No. 5648) with the authority provided by Council Resolution No. 61339, ID No. 35702 adopted on March 16, 2004.  

The contract with Strand Associates, Inc. was for survey and design services entitled "Wingra Creek Improvements - Phase 1".  The project includes preparing construction plans and permits for Phase 1 improvements for the creek stabilization.  This amendment will provide for additional services that were not included with the original contract.  These services include:

1) Creation of an Access Plan.

2) Creation of a Staking Plan.

3) Additional submittals related to the Urban NonPoint Source Grant Administration.

4) Drawing and specification revisions and recalculation of quantities and costs to account for removal of proposed improvements from the railroad right-of-way.

5) Preparation and reproduction costs for resubmittal of final drawings and specifications to the City.  

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment 2 to the present contract between the City of Madison and Strand Associates, Inc. for "Wingra Creek Parkway Improvements - Phase 1", Contract No. 5648, for additional design services.
