Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to an existing contract for design services for the total amount of $77,400.
Existing funding is available in the adopted 2019 capital budget to pay for this proposed contract amendment amount. $65,300 will be funded via the the Citywide Flood Mitigation program which appropriated $7,570,000 in GO Borrowing and Stormwater Utility reserves for 2019 (MUNIS 11513), and $12,100 will be funded by the Stormwater GO Borrowin appropriated in the University Avenue reconstrcution project for flood alternative analysis via the Engineering Major Streets Budget (MUNIS 11168).

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison Engineering Division is proposing to conduct watershed and flood studies for the west and near west sides as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. for design services (RES-19-00207). The City Engineer requested additional design services and recommend that they be undertaken by Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. for the Spring Harbor Watershed Study and for other tasks as defined below:
1. Procure and provide monitoring equipment to the City to support the Spring Harbor Watershed Study
2. Update the Spring Harbor Watershed Study to include privately owned storm sewer and drainage systems
3. Provide QA/QC for the Pheasant Branch watershed model that will be completed in-house by the City of Madison
4. Attend additional monthly and weekly coordination meetings for facilitation and coordination with the City on multiple watershed studies that are occurring concurrently
