Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves plans and authorizes receipt of bids for the Metro Transit Service Lane Addition project at the Metro operations facility at 1101 East Washington Avenue for a total cost of $7,300,000. Metro Transit has sufficient budget appropriated for this project via the adopted 2019 capital budget which includes $7,032,586 of GO Borrowing and additional carryforward appropriation for the first phase of the facility improvement construction in within the Facilities Repairs and Improvement capital program.

Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Metro Transit - Service Lane Addition at 1101 E. Washington Ave. (6th AD)
Body
WHEREAS the 2018 Capital Improvement Plan includes $1,540,000 for Metro Facilities Repairs and Improvement from which up to $740,000 will be used to design the Service Lane Addition and capital improvements to the 1101 E. Washington Ave. Facility.
WHEREAS the 2019 Executive Capital Budget - Capital Improvement Plan request includes $7,032,586 for construction of the Service Lane Addition project; and,
WHEREAS this resolution approves the plans and specifications for the project, and allows the project to be advertised and receive bids.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
1) That the plans and specifications for the Metro Transit - Service Lane Addition, be and are hereby approved.
2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
