Fiscal Note
This agreement will provide assistance to Madison Metro Transit for providing transit information services, promotion efforts and operations in the amount of $19,280. It will also provide $12,850 in assistance to the MPO and Planning unit for coordination of specialized transportation services. The funds are included in the respective 2005 Operating budgets. No impact on levies or cost controls.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Dane County to provide $19,280 in assistance to Madison Metro for transit information services, promotion efforts and operations for the calendar year 2005; and $12,850 to the Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Planning Unit to support the 2005 County Specialized Transportation coordination activities for the calendar year 2005.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2005 Dane County budget includes a Transit and Environmental program in the Highway and Transportation Department; and
WHEREAS, this budget includes funding support for Madison Metro Transit in the amount of $19,280 Transit information service, promotion efforts and operations for the calendar year 2005 and for $12,850 to the Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Planning Unit to support the 2005 Dane County coordination activities; and
WHEREAS, Madison Metro Transit and the MPO and Planning Unit have included these amounts in their respective 2005 budgets;
NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Dane County for providing services to Madison Metro Transit and the Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and Planning Unit for the 2005 calendar year for a total of $32,130.
