The 2027 Engineering - Major Streets Executive Budget has $17.1 million in available funding in 2027 for the Regent Street project (Munis No. 15233). Based on the level of bids, if necessary, Engineering - Major Streets would complete a one-time inter-major transfer from the Pavement Management Program (Munis No. 10540) to the Regent Street project.

The City of Madison is planning to reconstruct Regent Street (Randall Avenue through Park Street). The project includes the replacement of the sanitary sewer main and laterals, water main and reconnecting services, the storm sewer box culvert as well as storm sewer structures and laterals. The project also includes replacement or installation of pedestrian lighting, street lighting, traffic signals, City fiber optic infrastructure, curb and gutter, sidewalk, bus stops, driveway aprons, gravel base, concrete pavement, pavement markings, and signing. The water main and storm sewer box replacement will extend beyond Randall Street to Madison Street with curb and gutter removal and replacement expected to accommodate the storm sewer box.
