Title
Approving plans and specifications for Milwaukee Street Bridge & Approaches and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute agreements with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for cost sharing and approval to reconstruct the structure. (6th & 15th ADs)

PREAMBLE
The City is proposing to reconstruct the Milwaukee Street Bridge over the West Branch of the Starkweather Creek. The Milwaukee Street Bridge is in poor condition and the City Engineer has determined that the bridge should be replaced. MSA Professional Services has prepared plans and specifications for the reconstruction project. The project has been approved for federal funding covering 80% of the cost of design and construction. The remaining costs will be funded by the City of Madison.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute agreements with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for cost sharing and approval to reconstruct the Milwaukee Street Bridge over the Starkweather Creek.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for the Milwaukee Street Bridge & Approaches are hereby approved.
