Title
Dissolving the Ice Arena Ad Hoc Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, On September 3, 2002 the Common Council adopted Substitute Resolution No. 59675, ID No. 32128, which authorized the sale of the Madison Ice Arena located at 725 Forward Drive and the Hartmeyer Ice Arena located at 1834 Commercial Avenue (collectively, the "Arenas"); and
WHEREAS, such resolution also created an Ad Hoc Ice Arena Committee to recommend criteria and a point evaluation system to be used in selecting a proposal for the sale of the Arenas; and
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2004 the Common Council adopted Amended Third Substitute Resolution No. 61584, ID No. 35176, authorizing the acceptance of an Offer to Purchase from Madison Ice Hartmeyer LLC for the purchase of the Hartmeyer Ice Arena and the acceptance of an Offer to Purchase from Madison Ice MIA LLC for the purchase of the Madison Ice Arena; and
WHEREAS, the land contract closings for the sales of the Ice Arenas occurred on July 14, 2004 and, therefore, the purpose of the Ice Arena Ad Hoc Committee has been fulfilled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council authorizes the dissolution of the Ice Arena Ad Hoc Committee.
