Body
WHEREAS,      Alderperson Gregory Markle was elected on April 1, 2003 to represent the 15th District; and,
 
WHEREAS,      Alderperson Gregory Markle served on the City-County Liaison Committee, E. Washington Avenue Design Oversight Committee, Equal Opportunities Commission, and the Madison Public Library Board; and,
 
WHEREAS,      Alderperson Gregory Markle was the leader on the phosphorus ban in the City of Madison with the intent of making our lakes cleaner and for curbing the hours of operation for payday loan businesses; and,
WHEREAS,      Alderperson Gregory Markle through hard work and dedication to his aldermanic duties has faithfully served his constituents and the City of Madison,
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Gregory Markle for his dedicated service to his constituents and the City of Madison and wish him well in his future endeavors.
