The proposed resolution amends the 2018 Stormwater Utility Capital Budget to accept an $85,000 grant from Dane County for the construction of Sauk Creek Greenway Iron Enhanced Biofilter Conversion project. The project’s scope includes creating an iron-enhanced biofilter (11760). This project will be part of the Stormwater Utility's Stormwater Quality System Improvements program; the 2018 Adopted Capital Budget includes $2.1 million for the program. The grant requires a 50% local match, or $42,500; the match will be funded through existing appropriation in the program.

Amending the 2018 Storm Water Capital Budget and Authorizing the City of Madison, through the City Engineer, to accept Dane County Urban Water Quality grant awards in the amounts of $85,000.00 for the construction of the Sauk Creek Greenway Iron Enhanced Biofilter Conversion project.

WHEREAS, The 2018 Storm Water Utility Capital Budget provides funding for construction of the Sauk Creek Greenway Iron Enhanced Biofilter Conversion project, estimated to cost $170,000; and
WHEREAS, City Engineering has applied for and received a Dane County Urban Water Quality grant for up to $85,000.00 through a fifty percent match; and
WHEREAS, City Engineering would like to proceed with this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1) That the City of Madison, through City Engineering, is authorized to accept this grant from Dane County.
2) Be it further resolved that the City of Madison, through the City Engineer, is authorized to sign and submit the following: grant agreement, reimbursement claims, interim and final reports, and additional forms as required
3) Be it further resolved that the 2018 Stormwater Utility Capital Budget is hereby amended as follows:
