Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a City-owned greenway located at 4654 Crescent Road, to serve the new Boys and Girls Club building. 10th Ald. District.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club ("BGC") is constructing a new club building at 4600 Jenewein Road; and
 
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company will be extending underground electric service to the new BGC building, which is located adjacent to a City-owned greenway addressed at 4654 Crescent Road ("Greenway"); and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E has requested a ten (10) foot wide underground electric easement ("Easement") across the City-owned Greenway to provide electrical service to the new BGC building; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Division has reviewed and approves of the Easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in Lot B, First Addition to Allied Terrace, lying in part of the NW ¼ of Section 5, Town 6 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
 
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot B; thence S01°31'14"W along the West line of said Lot B, 250.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence S88°28'46"E, 100, more or less, to the East line of said Lot B and the point of termination.
 
The Easement is depicted as set forth on attached Exhibit A, dated March 30, 2005.
