Body
On March 16, 2004, the City of Madison entered into an agreement with Strand Associates, Inc. for surveying and design services (Contract No. 5539) with the authority provided by Council Resolution No. 61339, ID No. 35702 adopted on March 16, 2004.
The contract with Strand Associates, Inc. was for survey and design services entitle "Wingra Creek Improvements - Phase 1". The project includes preparing construction plans and permits for Phase 1 improvements for the creek stabilization. The amendment will provide for additional services that were not included with the original contract. These services include: 1) extra meetings and meeting preparation to discuss plan modifications; 2) field survey to estimate sediment depth at six locations; 3) drawing and specification modification for final changes in scope; 4) backwater analysis for DNR submittal; 5) sediment sampling scoping and correspondence with DNR; 6) Urban Non-Point Source Grant requirements and administration.
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the present contract between the City of Madison and Strand Associates, Inc. for "Wingra Creek Parkway Improvements - Phase 1", Contract No. 5539, for additional surveying and design services.
