Honoring Madison's Veterans.

Body

WHEREAS, on Veterans Day we pay tribute to the men and women that have worn the uniform of the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, we are indebted to our nation's veterans for their service and sacrifice and that of their families; and

WHEREAS, we should be mindful of the duty as a community to provide vital support to our veterans and their families; and

WHEREAS, on Veterans Day, we honor those lives that we have lost in service to our country; and

WHEREAS, the City of Madison is proud to employ several men and women that have served and are currently serving our country; and

WHEREAS, Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those individuals,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Madison honor Madison's veterans and the invaluable contributions and sacrifice they have made to our country and our local community.
