Title: Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Dane County for the provision of access by employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement by Dane County to the transit utility for rides taken by Dane County employees for three years from and including the date the agreement is executed by the Mayor. This agreement will automatically renew for an additional two years under the same terms and conditions unless amended or terminated by either party.

Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution allows for an agreement with Dane County to provide Metro Transit access to Dane County employees. Dane County will reimburse Metro based on actual ridership and effective rates at the time the ride is taken. Fixed route is currently at $1.40 per trip and paratransit is at $3.25 per ride. Revenues from the partnership in 2023 totaled $18,788.

Body

WHEREAS, Metro Transit and Dane County have had a successful partnership with this pass program in the past; and

 

WHEREAS, the Parties have negotiated a contract to meet their on-going needs;

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a three-year contract that will automatically renew for an additional two years under the same terms and conditions (if not amended or terminated by either Party) with Dane County for all fixed route and paratransit trips taken by Dane County employees during the term of the agreement
