Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign and execute a five (5) year Agreement with Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., for priority field scheduling at four (4) soccer fields at Reindahl Community Park in exchange for Princeton Soccer Club, Inc. maintaining said fields.
Body
WHEREAS, in 2000 the Parks Division formally acknowledged its consideration of establishing public/private partnerships in the community as a viable option of service delivery in the community and has been found to be a concept accepted by the citizens in Madison; and
WHEREAS, Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., has successfully organized soccer leagues in the City of Madison and has provided maintenance support to park fields for several years;
WHEREAS, the Parks Division has successfully entered into similar Agreements with several other soccer organizations;
WHEREAS, this Agreement will extend priority field scheduling to Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., in exchange for Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., maintaining four City-owned soccer fields; and
WHEREAS, youth and adult soccer teams not affiliated with Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., will have the opportunity to schedule fields maintained by Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., on at least two days per week.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute a Use and Maintenance Agreement with Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., whereby, in exchange for Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., receiving priority scheduling for the soccer fields at the above mentioned parks, Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., will provide maintenance and improvement to the identified fields for the five-year term of this Agreement.
