PREAMBLE

The City of Madison is proposing to under ground the overhead utility lines on W. Main Street from S. Bedford Street to  Proudfit Street.  MG&E, US Signal, Charter, and TDS will under ground their overhead lines and the existing poles will be removed. The City of Madison will fund the cost to under ground the facilities.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute agreements with MG&E, US Signal, Charter, and TDS for the under grounding of overhead utilities on W. Main Street
