Fiscal Note
In the 2016 adopted budget Engineering Major Streets has a major project for Pavement Management (MUNIS 10540) which has $5.96 million budget for the resurfacing of existing streets. The minor project for the work at Cottage Grove Road-Lumberman to Thompson (MUNIS 11099) is established with sufficient budget authority for the work to be completed in the proposed contract for all agencies involved.
The proposed resolution awards the specified contract for a total estimated cost of $3,370,360. The breakout of the cost amongst agencies is as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
