Fiscal Note
This $45,000 contract will be funded through a Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) federal grant received by the Fire Department.  Funds are available in the segregated fund (SG49) established to account for the MMRS grant.

Body
The City of Madison has a Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U. S. Department of Homeland Security.  One of the projects in the grant covers implementation of the Geographic Information System (GIS) to support automatic vehicle location (AVL) by enhancing mapping capabilities.
 
The County has an established relationship with GeoAnalytics of about fifteen years.  The Company has worked with the County on a strategic plan for implementation of GIS at the 9-1-1 Center.  This company has the technological knowledge, orientation and the working knowledge of the County's GIS and the 9-1-1 Center.  As a result, it is requested that GeoAnalytics be awarded the contract in the amount of $45,000 for this project.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City approve a contract with GeoAnalytics for the GIS/AVL project at the 9-1-1 Center.
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute the contract with GeoAnalytics.
