Accepting the Final Report and Recommended Solutions of the Near West Watershed Study

Body

Engineering is bringing the completed Near West Watershed Study before the Board of Parks Commissioners, seeking acceptance of the final report.

Since 2018 City Engineering has been completing watershed studies across 22 study areas citywide to identify and understand areas at risk of stormwater flooding and develop recommendations to reduce flooding. The Near West Watershed Study covers an area in the City of Madison generally west of the Capital Square, south of the UW Campus, and east of Madison West High School; this includes parts of the Regent, Dudgeon-Monroe, Vilas, Greenbush, Monona Bay and Capital Neighborhoods. The Final Report Describes the project methodology, approach, and results of the study, including conceptual project recommendations.
