The proposed resolution deletes a 0.6 FTE Transit Customer Service Representative position and recreates a separate 0.6 FTE Transit Customer Service Representative as a 1.0 FTE position. The change results in a 0.2 FTE reduction in Metro Transit’s authorized positions and cost savings of $13,000.

Recreating Two Part Time Transit Customer Service Representatives as One Full Time Customer Service Representative

WHEREAS, Metro Transit has had difficulty attracting and retaining employees in the part time Customer Service Representative classification; and
WHEREAS, Metro Transit has been successful in attracting and retaining full time Transit Customer Service Representatives; and
WHEREAS, Metro Transit will benefit from an additional permanent full time Transit Customer Service Representative position in the call center to meet the service demands of the unit;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that 0.6 FTE position 3610 is deleted and 0.6 FTE position 3374 is recreated as a full time position in the Transit Customer Service Representative classification in the Metro Transit Operating budget, thereof.
