Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget the major program for Monona Terrace building improvements authorizes 307,000 for the improvement of various building components at the convention center (MUNIS 10031). The minor project for the fire alarm system upgrade is established with sufficient budget authority for the estimated cost of the project (MUNIS 20178).  Funding is provided from Monona Terrace’s reserves.


The proposed resolution approves plan documents at an estimated cost of $330,000.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for Monona Terrace Fire Alarm System Upgrade, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
