Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends the Community Development Authority (CDA) 2023 Adopted Operating Budget to accept and appropriate $2,341,461.00 of additional funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Public Housing Capital Grant Fund Program. No additional City appropriation is required.

Title

Amending the Community Development Authority (CDA) 2023 Adopted Operating Budget to accept and appropriate $2,341,461.00 of the FY2023 Capital Fund Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Public Housing Capital Grant Fund Program.

Body

WHEREAS, HUD has released the FY2023 of Capital Fund Program (CFP) Grant award; and

WHEREAS, the funds appropriated by HUD are available to be used for 2023 Capital Fund Grant eligible items; and

WHEREAS, the eligible use of funds is outlined in the Capital Fund Grant Program which the CDA already utilizes at the majority of its properties; and

WHEREAS, the CDA was allocated $2,341,461.00 for Capital Fund eligible activities which have already been planned for in the CDA’s CFP annual plan as approved by the CDA Board & HUD;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the CDA 2023 Adopted Operating Budget is amended to accept the FY2023 $2,341,461.00 of Capital Grant Funds.
