Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution accepts improvements constructed by private contract for Birchwood Point Parkland Improvements, Private Contract No. 7603. There is no City funding required.

Accepting improvements constructed by Private Contract for Birchwood Point Parkland Improvements, Private Contract No. 7603. (9th AD)

Body

WHEREAS, MREC VH Birchwood Point, LLC has satisfactorily completed the installation of parkland improvements by private contract, in accordance with the City of Madison Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction for Birchwood Point Parkland Improvements, Contract 7603.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED

 

1.  That said parkland improvements, including basketball court, paths, storm sewer, playground, sun shelter, grading and field improvements, be and are hereby accepted. 

2. That parkland improvements are hereby assigned to the Parks Division for ownership.

3.  That the parkland improvements shall be the responsibility of MREC VH Birchwood Point, LLC to maintain for a period of 3 years after the initial acceptance of the improvements, with the maintenance requirements expiring October 1, 2020. 

4.  That after October 1, 2020 the parkland improvements will be assigned to the Parks Division for maintenance.
