Conditions for Barbara St. John and the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, requesting the use of Olbrich Park on October 4, 2015, for Tie-Dyed for Mr. Dave: Hope, Steps, and a Cure 5k Run/Walk
Parks Staff recommends approval, based on the organizer’s agreement to the following conditions:
1. Aldermanic notification. Alder David Ahrens, district15@cityofmadison.com
2. Organizer will arrange for a site-plan meeting at the park, at least two weeks before the event, with the East Parks Maintenance Supervisor, Craig Klinke (246-4508 or cklinke@cityofmadison.com ) and agrees to any and all site plan recommendations he may make.
3. Organizer understands that no permanent marking of streets, paths, trees, or sidewalks will be allowed - chalk may be used, but not spray paint, spray chalk, or stickers.
4. Organizer will apply for a Parade Permit. (already done.)
5. Organizer will provide a certificate of insurance covering this event and naming the City of Madison as “additional insured.”
6. Nothing will be sold in the park, and no tents or other temporary structures will be set up.
7. Organizer will be responsible for full clean-up of any park areas used, immediately at the end of the event.
8. As part of this event will be held at the East Side Club, participants will be directed to park primarily in the club’s parking lot. Parking at Olbrich Park itself is limited, and parking at the Olbrich Gardens parking lot will not be available to this group.
9. An amplification permit will not be required for announcements and a short closing ceremony. However, the sound must be kept to a reasonable level at all times.
10. No vehicles will be driven or parked on the grass.
