Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for Eastwood Drive Landscaping, Contract No. 6640.
Body
PREAMBLE
WHEREAS the City proposes to plant trees and shrubs along the Capital City Trail between Clemons Avenue and Russell Street to mitigate the removal in 2009 of a number of diseased trees; and
WHEREAS the Neighborhood Association has requested that part of the planting consist of shrubs in public right of way, which are not ordinarily maintained by Forestry; and
WHEREAS the Neighborhood Association has agreed to maintain the shrub bed under a separate Privilege in Streets agreement
BE IT RESOLVED,
1) That the plans and specifications for Eastwood Drive Landscaping, be and are hereby approved.
2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
