The 2006 Operating Budget includes additional permit revenue of $800,000 in anticipation of the rate increases contained in this ordinance amendment.

Amending Sections 18.10(1), 19.14(1)(a), 29.07(3), and 30.01(10) of the Madison General Ordinances to increase various construction permit fees.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance increases fees for plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, and building permits. Adoption under suspension of the rules is requested in order that the ordinance be in effect by January 1.
