Amending the 2006 Public Health Operating Budget to allow for the carry forward and expenditure of 2005 Bioterrorism Grant funds.
Body
WHEREAS the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS) has received funding from the Centers for Disease Control to help communities plan, prepare, and respond to bioterrorism; and
WHEREAS, the DHFS allocated $95,960 to the City of Madison Department of Public Health in 2005; and
WHEREAS the City of Madison Department of Public Health has not spent any of these funds and the contract specifies that unspent 2005 funds are to be applied toward continued bioterrorism planning in 2006;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2006 Public Health Operating Budget is amended by the following amounts:
