Title

Amending Sections 8.08(4) of the Madison General Ordinances to reflect the reorganization of the Department of Planning and Development by moving the City Architect and other city facilities personnel from the Inspection Unit to the Engineering Department.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS:  This is part of the reorganization of the Department of Planning and Development.  It moves the City Architect and other city facilities personnel from the Inspection Unit to the Engineering Department.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

      1.      Subsection (4) of Section 8.08 entitled "City Buildings--Plans And Specifications To Be Filed In The Inspection Unit Of The Department Of Planning And Development--Director Of The Inspection Unit To Be Superintendent Of Construction Of Public Works" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:      

"(4)      The Director of the Inspection Unit City Engineer shall have charge of the supervision and maintenance of all City buildings, and particularly the heating equipment in the fire stations, and in such other buildings the supervision and maintenance of which is not otherwise provided for in the Madison General Ordinances."
