Fiscal Note
Under terms of the agreement, the School District will pay $2,000 to the City of Madison. The District will also be responsible for licensing, maintenance, repair, insurance and storage of the boats. The City will be responsible for maintenance of the pontoon boat launch site at Tenney Park. No additional appropriation is required.

To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a one (1) year Agreement with the possibility of a one (1) year renewal term between the City of Madison and the Madison Metropolitan School District, Madison School & Community Recreation for the operation of a Pontoon Boat Program for persons with disabilities.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison ("CITY") and the Madison Metropolitan School District's Madison School & Community Recreation ("MSCR") program have had a long and satisfying relationship as partners in providing recreational opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy Lakes Monona and Mendota; and
WHEREAS, since approximately 1996, the City and MSCR have entered into a Pontoon Boat Partnership Agreement that has targeted its boat rental to: (1) people with disabilities; (2) non-profit groups or organizations; (3) non-disabled seniors; (4) low-income groups and individuals; and (5) other members of the general public during limited drop-in hours; and
WHEREAS, MSCR is responsible for the promotion, scheduling, funding and management of the Pontoon Boat program with the City's involvement limited to maintaining storage facilities at Tenney Park for MSCR's pontoon boats and equipment, and providing maintenance of the physical facilities at the pontoon boat launch site area within Tenney Park; and
