Title
Approving Plans, Specifications, Authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids, and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with the Rotary Club for a granite bench system and planter on N. Pinckney St associated with the Capitol Square Streetscape Updates - 2010 project.  (4th AD)

Body
The City is proposing to reconstruct portions of the Capitol Square Streetscape in the summer of 2010.  As part of the project the sidewalk and street adjacent to the new Children's museum are being reconstructed.  The Rotary Club is proposing a donation of $30,000 for the project, including new granite benches and a planter.  The bench will be made of granite materials consistent with that previously installed on State Street and the Capitol Square.  The planter also will be of similar construction to that on the Capitol Square.  The bench is proposed to be engraved with the words "ROTARY CENTENNIAL PLAZA."  The cost is estimated at $30,000.

BE IT RESOLVED:
1.   That the plans and specifications for a granite bench system and planter are hereby approved.
2.   That the Board of Public Works is hereby authorized to advertise for and receive bids for these improvements.
3.   That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter in an agreement with the Rotary Club for the funding of these improvements.
Fiscal Note
This is a $30,000 increase in the total estimated cost of the project authorized in RES-10-00208.  Funds are available in CS60-58250-810538-00-53W0883.  This additional cost will be completely reimbursed by the Rotary Club, resulting in no net City cost increase.
