No expenditure is required for the amendment to the Central Urban Service area. For an extension of sanitary service to the property, the property owner will pay all appropriate fees associated with the easement grant and will be assessed for costs relating to the sanitary sewer installation.

Authorizing the City of Madison's request to amend the Central Urban Service area to include the Chen property in the Cottage Grove Neighborhood.
Body
WHEREAS Yong and Amanda Chen wish to attach their residential property located at 3497 County Trunk Highway BB to the City of Madison at this time so that they may receive public sanitary sewer service from the City to replace a failing private system; and
WHEREAS Immediate Attachment to the City of Madison may be requested at any time by owners of Town properties not within a Protected Area under the provisions of the 2006 Town of Blooming Grove and City of Madison Cooperative Plan; and
WHEREAS in order to receive sanitary sewer service from the City of Madison, the property must be within the Central Urban Service Area; and
WHEREAS the Chen property is adjacent to the City of Madison and the current Central Urban Service Area on its west, north and east boundaries and the full range of City urban services, including public sanitary sewer service, can easily be extended to the property; and
WHEREAS the existing single-family residential use of the property is consistent with the recommendations of the City of Madison Comprehensive Plan and the Cottage Grove Neighborhood Development Plan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Madison Plan Commission and Common Council hereby authorize the City's application to amend the Central Urban Service Area to include the Chen property located at 3497 County Trunk Highway BB.
