Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the S High Point Road Construction Project. The total estimated cost of the project is $2,800,000. Funding is available in Munis #15401. No additional appropriation is required.

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

The City of Madison is proposing to construct S High Point Road from Raymond Road to the Midpoint Meadows Plat limit.  The City applied for and was awarded Federal funds to cover up to 80% of street construction costs up to a cap of $2,400,000.  The remainder of the local share will be City of Madison costs. 

1.  That the plans and specifications for the S High Point Road Construction Project are hereby approved.

 

2.  That the plans and specifications are hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project. The project will be Let by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

 

3.  That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

 

 4.  That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign all necessary documents to accomplish the said acquisitions of the necessary real estate interests.

 

5.  That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Inter-Governmental Agreement between the City of Madison and State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for Construction Cost Sharing.  The project will be a Wisconsin Department of Transportation Let contract for construction.
